Did you know that there are almost twenty extra-Biblical sources that attest to the historical fact that Jesus of Nazareth lived on this earth? Another archeological discovery in 2002 was an ossuary that may have held the bones of James, the son of Joseph and the brother of Jesus. The biblical Jesus was the brother of James and the son of Joseph. James became a leader in the early Christian church after the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The archeological find was apparently damaged in transit from Israel to the United States and it later was pronounced as a fraud by many archeological experts. Such finds, should they prove to be actual, may serve to strengthen and affirm the faith of believers and help others to accept that the historical evidence shows that Jesus Christ lived and is to many a savior, bringing peace, joy and eternal life. But, the only reasons that a person of true faith needs to believe are the life, teachings and finished work - the sacrificial death on the cross for the sins of the world - by the eternal son of the living God - Jesus Christ.

The gift of eternal life is freely given to those who trust in Jesus as their savior. Those who believe, pray, read the Bible and allow themselves to grow in spirit and truth by trusting in Jesus and in the guidance of the Holy Spirit are brought into the family of God and will spend eternity with Him. You can read more about Jesus in the Gospel of John.
